Job Overview

Compensation and Benefits

  • The hourly wage for this role is $23.00.
  • Full-time employees are eligible for benefits after a 90-day period.

Position Highlights

  • This is a contract position with the possibility of permanent employment based on attendance, performance, and business requirements.
  • Availability must include two opening shifts and two closing shifts weekly, along with Sunday and Saturday shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process, interpret, and enter medication orders into the pharmacy's computerized system while adhering to accuracy and productivity benchmarks.
  • Conduct audits comparing input data with documentation, making necessary corrections.
  • Perform calculations related to medications, including basic math conversions.
  • Address issues related to claims denials and follow up on outstanding claims.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Medicaid regulations and claims processes.
  • Generate reports and keep management informed about unpaid claims and those pending follow-up.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service to both internal and external clients in line with company values.
  • Assist with medication preparation and dispensing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned, which may involve supporting various pharmacy areas as directed.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Pharmacy Technician License in Oregon.
  • Mandatory attendance during the initial 90 days of employment.
  • Experience in a pharmacy setting is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of pharmaceuticals, medication terminology, and the metric system; proficiency in computer operations.

Preferred Experience

  • At least 6 months of experience in order entry.
