Job Summary

As the Senior Director of Energy Systems, you will be responsible for leading the development, localization, and testing of High Voltage Batteries and vehicle-related systems for Volkswagen of America. This role requires strong leadership skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to drive innovation and collaboration with external vendors and research partners.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead all NAR development, localization, and testing of High Voltage Batteries and vehicle systems according to VW Group standards.
  • Develop and decide strategies and goals for High Voltage / EV related systems.
  • Manage supplier evaluation initiatives, qualification processes, and supports localization of new suppliers.
  • Supervise the preparation and presentation of budgets, headcount, and investment plans.
  • Set strategic targets and lead Managers to the definition and achievement of goals.
  • Drive local innovation and collaborate with external vendors and research partners.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years in a leadership role.
  • 7+ years of automotive High Voltage Battery and EV Systems experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering - required.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering - desired.
