Join our dedicated team at Pillar Care Continuum as a Residential Support Specialist, where you will empower individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to achieve their fullest potential. Your role will involve providing essential daily assistance to residents, ensuring a nurturing and supportive living environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with daily living activities tailored to their individual needs, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
- Implement and monitor individual health and service plans, documenting any changes in health or behavior.
- Engage residents in social, recreational, and educational activities, fostering community involvement.
- Maintain a safe and clean living environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Provide transportation for residents to appointments and activities, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Communicate effectively with residents' families and support their engagement in the care process.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the overall care strategy.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Group Home Manager.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus.
- Successful completion of background checks is mandatory.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
