Job Overview

Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center is seeking a skilled Pediatric Nurse Triage Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Phone Triage team, you will provide telephonic nursing care to families with pediatric medical concerns.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct phone triage for pediatric patients, assessing symptoms and providing appropriate care recommendations.
  • Offer guidance to parents and caregivers based on clinical guidelines and nursing protocols.
  • Direct patients to appropriate care settings (e.g., urgent care, emergency department, follow-up appointments).
  • Document all triage interactions and patient concerns accurately in the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A current RN license in the state of Kentucky.
  • A minimum of 2 years of pediatric nursing experience, including clinical expertise in pediatric assessment and care.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and compassionate advice over the phone.
