Opportunity Overview

We are seeking an experienced Equity Administration Expert to join our team in San Francisco, California. This role will play a critical part in administering Sunrun's equity plans, working closely with other legal professionals, HR, tax, accounting, payroll, and treasury stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
  1. Collaborate with the equity team to optimize processes, ensuring extraordinary customer service to Sunrun's employees.
  2. Develop comprehensive expertise in equity administration, including stock options, restricted stock units, performance-based restricted stock units, and employee stock purchase plans.
  3. Manage transactions processed online, such as grant agreements, option exercises, cancellations, and employee stock purchase plan activity.
  4. Partner with the outside stock plan administrator to ensure cost-effective services and a best-in-class online experience for equity holders.
  5. Automate reporting between the equity administration system and payroll/human capital management systems for real-time equity transaction reporting.
  6. Work collaboratively with key stakeholders across Sunrun.
  7. Provide regular employee education sessions on ESPP and other employee stock benefits.
  8. Contribute to financial reporting, tax reporting for multiple foreign jurisdictions, and Section 16 filings.
  9. Assist with 10b5-1 trading plans development and maintain process documentation.
Requirements:
  1. 3+ years of experience in an equity administration role, preferably at a publicly-traded company.
  2. Broad experience with different equity award forms (e.g., RSU, PSU, stock options, and ESPP).
  3. Familiarity with equity program administration concepts and issues.
  4. Extensive cross-functional experience working with colleagues in legal, finance, and human resources.
  5. Proven track record of leveraging technology to support growth at scale.
  6. Demonstrated experience driving exceptional customer service in a cost-effective manner.
  7. Bachelor's degree.
  8. Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  9. Certified Equity Professional certification and knowledge of Workday, ADP, and Schwab Equiview platform is highly valued.

The estimated salary range for this opportunity is $119,838.54 to $159,784.72. Compensation decisions are based on both company and individual performance.
