Job Title: Senior Development Manager

Thinkery is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Development Manager to join our Advancement Department. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting our strategic fundraising efforts and implementing comprehensive development programs.

About the Role

The Senior Development Manager will report to the Chief Advancement Officer and collaborate with the Development Team to design, implement, evaluate, and refine all components of Thinkery's annual giving and sponsorship program. This includes managing annual and recurring donor relationships, individual and corporate sponsorship of programs and events, and coordinating the Development Team's involvement in Thinkery's annual signature fundraisers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies and tools to qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual and recurring individual donors and individual and corporate sponsors.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Advancement Officer and VP of Marketing & Communications to devise and execute fundraising strategies and tools to increase brand awareness and financial support.
  • Meet or exceed established fundraising targets as part of a growing comprehensive fundraising program.
  • Support in building a pipeline of prospective donors by sharing the message and story of Thinkery's impact to external groups and stakeholders.
  • Interact regularly with Advancement colleagues and other Thinkery Departments/Teams to gather information and develop messages and stories for donor appeals and stewardship activities.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated increasing knowledge of donor identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship process.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively to donors, peers, and volunteers.
  • Exercise good judgment, demonstrate an understanding of ethics related to development activities, and use discretion in interactions with donors, prospects, volunteers, and others.
  • Advanced computing skills including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, and donor database management. Tessitura experience a plus.
Experience and Education
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years' progressively responsible experience in development and fundraising; annual giving and/or corporate relations experience preferred.
  • 2+ years' event planning and execution experience.
