The Real Estate Research Manager is pivotal in crafting strategic initiatives aimed at broadening Amazon's Fresh Stores network. This role involves working closely with business leaders to execute both immediate and long-range strategies, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to achieve business goals, and spearheading the overall growth strategy for the designated region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and refine geographical strategies by evaluating and scoring potential trade areas, integrating insights from field operations.
- Conduct thorough assessments of prospective store sites, taking into account trade area characteristics, site positioning, and relevant attributes.
- Identify elements that impact store performance and incorporate these insights into the site selection framework.
- Gain endorsement for expansion initiatives from diverse stakeholders throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with Real Estate Managers and brokers to enhance expansion tactics and adjust targeted trade areas as necessary.
- Execute market research, track market dynamics (including real estate conditions, new developments, competitor activities, etc.), and remain updated on areas facing permitting obstacles.
- Perform specialized analyses utilizing geospatial tools, datasets, and expert knowledge.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax, finance, or a related analytical discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in business or financial analysis.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
- Proven ability to define requirements and leverage data and metrics to extract business insights.
- Strong proficiency in Excel.
- Demonstrated capability to provide business recommendations and influence key stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Experience with GIS software (e.g., ESRI, Kalibrate, Alteryx).
