Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fraud Investigator to join our team at the City of New York. As a Senior Fraud Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting thorough investigations into fraudulent activities and ensuring that those responsible are held accountable.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct investigations into claims and collections to identify and prevent fraudulent activities
  • Analyze data and evidence to build a case against individuals or organizations involved in fraudulent activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to prevent future fraudulent activities
  • Collaborate with law enforcement and other agencies to ensure that those responsible for fraudulent activities are brought to justice
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders to ensure that they are informed and engaged throughout the investigation process
Requirements
  • A four-year high school diploma or its equivalent and three years of satisfactory, full-time experience in investigations, credit history evaluation, asset searching, or evidence research
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university, including 12 semester credits in criminal justice, forensic auditing, forensic science, police science, criminology, or law
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
  • Education and/or experience equivalent to the above
