POSITION SUMMARY:


The Sales Associate engages in various selling and customer service tasks, which include warmly welcoming and acknowledging all customers promptly, handling merchandise with care, and providing essential information, assistance, and guidance to customers.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Demonstrates a strong commitment to exceptional customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all patrons.
Showcases products to customers effectively.
Restocks merchandise on shelves as necessary according to merchandising standards.
Maintains expertise in products through continuous training on product knowledge.
Stays informed about promotional sales; ensures that pricing and signage are accurate.
Assists with seasonal merchandise arrangements on the sales floor.
Restocks items as needed.
Keeps the work area organized, tidy, and well-supplied.
Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
Delivers a memorable experience for every customer by aiding in their purchasing decisions by:
Identifying and assessing customers' needs.
Making tailored product recommendations based on this evaluation.
Promoting programs such as CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
Performs other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Degree Required:
High School diploma or equivalent experience.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:
Ability to compute figures such as discounts and provide change to customers.
Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and fellow associates.
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
Ability to operate a computerized Point of Sale system.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Constantly stand and/or walk during shifts.
Occasionally climb or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
Constantly interact with others to exchange information.
Occasionally repeat motions that may involve the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
Occasionally drive motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds consistently; may occasionally lift and move objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as necessary).Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
Occasionally work in noisy environments.

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:
Performs tasks and responsibilities under general supervision, utilizing established procedures and creativity. Selects from limited alternatives to resolve issues. Occasionally exercises independent judgment to complete work assignments. Frequently makes recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
