Job Title: Phlebotomist I

Location: Port Saint Lucie, FL

Duration: 2+ Months

Hours: Monday through Friday from 10am - 2pm and every Saturday 7am-2pm

Job Summary:

The Patient Services Representative I (PSR I) is a vital member of our team, responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our laboratory services. As a PSR I, you will be the face of our company, interacting with patients and creating a positive experience for them.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepare specimens for lab testing
  • Under the direction of the area supervisor, perform daily activities accurately and on time
  • Maintain a safe and professional environment
  • Perform with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures
  • Maintain required records and documentation
  • Demonstrate organizational commitment and promote a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general

Requirements:

  • Ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
  • Excellent phlebotomy skills to include pediatric and geriatric
  • Flexible and available based on staffing needs, which includes weekends, holidays, on-call, and overtime
  • Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent, Medical training: medical assistant or paramedic training preferred, Phlebotomy certification preferred
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 6 months experience, One(+) years phlebotomy experience preferred, Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred, Keyboard/data entry experience a must

Additional Requirements:

  • Candidate must have reliable transportation to get to/from worksite without issue
  • Must be available to work whenever scheduled, BE ON TIME, and stay for the entire shift
  • Excessive absenteeism/tardiness is not tolerated and will be cause for termination
