Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at HCA Florida Trinity Hospital. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect blood specimens from patients using venipuncture and skin puncture methods
  • Complete accurate and thorough documentation of specimen collection
  • Follow established procedures for patient identification and specimen collection
  • Educate patients and families on specimen collection procedures
  • Utilize our computer information system to manage job functions
  • Perform clerical duties, including faxing, phones, and pneumatic tube system
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent
  • A vocational or technical diploma in a related field
  • A phlebotomy certificate is preferred
  • Less than 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting
  • Excellent time management and customer service skills
