About This Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mortgage Sales Consultant to join our team at Wells Fargo Bank. As a key member of our Home Lending division, you will be responsible for originating mortgage loans, collaborating with branch leadership, and providing exceptional customer service to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Mortgage Loan Origination: Sit within assigned bank branches and originate mortgage loans, working closely with branch leadership to ensure seamless execution.
  • Customer Engagement: Conduct outbound calls to existing and prospective customers to discuss mortgage loan products and provide personalized solutions.
  • Product Expertise: Interact with customers to understand their needs and provide high-quality customer service, informing them of Wells Fargo's Home Mortgage programs and analyzing their mortgage loan options.
  • Loan Processing: Process loan applications for mortgage transactions and review rates and terms within established guidelines.
  • Client Satisfaction: Maintain high standards of client satisfaction and quality by ensuring timely and proactive customer communication.
  • Professional Development: Continuously pursue Wells Fargo training offerings to increase knowledge of company products, policies, and procedures, as well as underwriting requirements.
  • Compliance: Adhere to policies, underwriting requirements, compliance requirements, and loan procedures, collaborating with fulfillment partners to meet client needs throughout the origination process.
  • Market Knowledge: Stay informed of mortgage industry trends and developments in the assigned market, developing and maintaining a high degree of visibility for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage in the marketplace.
Requirements
  • 2+ Years of Sales Experience: Possess 2+ years of sales experience, or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Mortgage Retail Sales Experience: Preferably 2+ years of mortgage retail sales experience, with expertise in general lending products and overall mortgage industry experience.
  • Community Loan Products: Experience with community loan products, including specialized LMI mortgage solutions, lender-paid assistance programs, and 3rd-party assistance programs.
  • Language Skills: Bilingual speaking proficiency in Spanish/English is preferred.
