BSA and Compliance/CRA Officer

The BSA and Compliance/CRA Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and administering the Bank's BSA/AML program to ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act, and all other Anti-Money Laundering and Office of Foreign Assets Control laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the BSA Department to ensure the Bank's compliance with all related federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  • Maintain, review, and update the Bank's BSA/AML and Compliance/CRA Programs, policies and procedures, and ensure that they are updated when changes to regulations and laws are made.
  • Perform annual risk assessments and advise management on the development of policy, procedures, system controls and training to address those risks.
  • Conduct customer account reviews and investigate suspicious or unusual customer activity for identified medium and higher risk customers independently.
  • Review suspicious activity detected using automated system reports, other reports/customer statements, and report unusual activities in the form of a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) filing.
  • Ensure that 314(a) requests, Currency Transaction Reports (CTRs) and SARs are completed accurately, completely, and filed.
  • Develop, maintain, and coordinate bank training programs. Maintain all training records.
  • Prepare and report developments on significant BSA & Compliance/CRA matters.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years banking experience and 3 years working in the BSA and Compliance areas.
  • Minimum of 5 years banking experience in operations, deposit account opening, mortgage lending, or loan operations.
  • Minimum Associate Degree, prefer Bachelor's Degree in business-related study.
  • Formal bank-related training or certifications are helpful.
