Key Responsibilities
  • Direct and oversee the technical components of various large-scale development projects, guiding them from conception to execution.

  • Design and implement database solutions, including cloud-based services such as Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS).
  • Engage with stakeholders to outline project scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Facilitate the integration and optimization of diverse software products, including Oracle, Oracle Data Warehousing, SAS BI, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Python, and R.
  • Maintain and enhance databases across various platforms, including Unix, Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
  • Utilize programming languages such as Perl, JavaTM, Oracle PLSQL, C++, HTML5, .NET, and C# to develop robust visual interfaces and applications for data management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to a team of developers, ensuring adherence to best practices in software development.
  • Conduct code reviews, testing, and quality assurance to guarantee the delivery of high-caliber solutions.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends to foster innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Address and resolve complex technical challenges, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Deliver technical documentation and training to end-users and stakeholders as necessary.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline; a Master's degree is preferred.
  • At least eight (8) years of experience in a comparable role, with proven experience as a technical lead for large-scale development projects.
  • Extensive knowledge of database management systems, including cloud-based solutions like PaaS and SaaS.
  • Expertise in a variety of software products and solutions, including Oracle, Oracle Data Warehousing, SAS BI, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Python, and R.
  • Experience with multiple platforms, including Unix, Linux, Solaris, and Windows.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Perl, JavaTM, Oracle PLSQL, C++, HTML5, .NET, and C#.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating visual interfaces and applications for data collection, storage, display, and dissemination.
  • Strong project management capabilities with a history of delivering complex projects on schedule and within budget.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • Analytical mindset with robust problem-solving skills.
