About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Space Systems Engineer to join our Test and Flight Operations team at Blue Origin. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and verifying data collection and control systems used in flight component testing and ground launch support facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop instrumentation and controls systems for test stands and facilities
  • Improve and maintain test stand data acquisition systems, including DAQ hardware configurations and troubleshooting
  • Seek out automation opportunities to improve efficiency and productivity
  • Create and maintain software configuration files, test scripts, and procedures
  • Review and verify health and performance of instrumentation on test stands and test articles
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience with industrial or aerospace control system design and operation
  • Good experience in at least one programming language: LabVIEW, Python, or C++
  • Full system level integration experience of software, hardware, and electrical systems
  • BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field with a combination of software/hardware development experience
  • Ability to design electrical circuits using CAD-based schematic and panel layout tools
  • Proficiency with electrical diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot instrumentation and control circuits
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience leading teams from concept to product delivery
  • Experience with PLC and Ladder Logic
  • Experience with designing box-level automation
