Overview

The Investor Reporting Team Lead plays a crucial role in managing the daily and monthly operations related to Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae, or Private Investor portfolios. This includes overseeing reporting, remittances, and resolving reconciliation discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the timely and accurate production of monthly reports, including loan-level invoices and remittance files, while adhering to contractual service level agreements (SLAs) for each investor.
  • Address any coding discrepancies in reports by collaborating with management to implement necessary adjustments and update relevant policies and procedures.
  • Assist the team in resolving external issues and correcting any data or formatting errors in monthly reports to maintain client satisfaction.
  • Verify that reports and wire requests are dispatched promptly in relation to monthly reporting and remittances.
  • Oversee the team's interactions with internal clients, such as investor accounting and finance, ensuring all account reconciliation items are accurately managed.
  • Review reports prior to external submission, checking for formatting errors, consistency issues, compliance with contract billing agreements, and investigating significant transactions.
  • Collaborate with departmental management to identify and rectify recurring process challenges.
  • Engage in additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by management.
  • Enhance operational procedures and assist with both internal and external audits.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data analysis and reporting tasks.
  • Conduct ad-hoc reporting or research as directed by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 years of experience in Investor Reporting is required.

Skills and Competencies

  • Proficient in advanced MS Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas.
  • Skilled in MS Word and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with SQL or other database reporting tools is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Servicing Director is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proven capability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and adapt quickly to changes.
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with senior management and various business units.
  • Understanding of operational risks and associated controls.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple tasks and adjusting priorities to meet reporting deadlines while ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self-motivated with a keen eye for detail and strong organizational skills.
