Position Overview

The Corporate Financial Analyst at Select Water Solutions plays a pivotal role in supporting various sectors within the Finance and Accounting division, including Corporate Finance, Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A), Corporate Development, Strategy & Sustainability, and Investor Relations.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will be tasked with the preparation and dissemination of reports and presentations required by senior leadership. This includes:
  • Financial projections and utilization reports
  • Trend analysis for key performance indicators
  • Market and industry assessments
  • Investor relations documentation

Essential Functions

The Corporate Financial Analyst will oversee the annual budgeting process and assist business units with budgetary planning. Responsibilities include:
  • Maintaining key asset-level financial models
  • Conducting regular budget tracking analyses for management and the board
  • Performing extensive financial analysis and modeling for new investment opportunities, business development initiatives, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures
  • Completing due diligence and various analyses related to acquisition prospects

Collaboration with senior management, including the CEO, CFO, COO, and CSO, is essential to evaluate corporate strategies and provide analytical support regarding the financial implications of executing these strategies.

Reporting and Analysis

The analyst will maintain and update financial reports to facilitate daily and monthly forecasting. Additional duties include:
  • Organizing data and assisting in the review of daily revenue and costs
  • Collaborating with the CFO, CAO, and Corporate Controller to analyze monthly financials
  • Developing and maintaining detailed financial projection models
  • Preparing various ad hoc reports and graphical representations using Excel
  • Compiling monthly and quarterly variance analyses to clarify discrepancies in financial statement accounts

Strategic Development

The Corporate Financial Analyst will create internal materials for senior leadership and the board that assess historical and projected business trends, capital market trends, and the financial impact of potential strategic alternatives. This includes:
  • Preparing external presentation materials and press releases
  • Facilitating investor conferences and quarterly earnings reports
  • Supporting meetings with current and prospective investors

Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, with familiarity in all Microsoft Office applications
  • Understanding of accounting systems
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong organizational and prioritization skills
  • Ability to work independently and adapt to a dynamic environment
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience or a BBA, preferably in accounting, finance, economics, or statistics
