About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Millwork Design Specialist to join our team at Spectrum Woodworking & Interiors LLC. in Portland, OR.

This is a full-time position with an estimated annual salary range of $60,000-$72,000.

Job Description

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in millwork design and drafting, with experience in creating technical drawings and plans using CAD software.

You will work closely with our engineering team to ensure that all designs meet project specifications and industry standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating detailed technical drawings and plans using CAD software based on specifications from engineers or designers.
  • Collaborating with engineers and designers to understand project requirements and transform concepts into technical drawings.
  • Modifying and revising designs based on feedback to ensure final drafts meet project specifications.
  • Maintaining and organizing all drawings and documentation for easy access and reference.
  • E nsuring all drawings and plans adhere to industry standards and guidelines.
  • Coordinating with other team members to ensure consistency and accuracy in all project documentation.
  • Staying updated on new drafting techniques, software updates, and industry best practices.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An Associate degree or relevant experience in a related field.
  • 2 years of commercial drafting experience, preferably with Microvellum proficiency.
  • Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills to collaborate effectively with engineers and designers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Working Environment

This is a typical office setting with standard office equipment and some basic construction tools. You will interact with other team members in an office environment, requiring a blend of independent work and teamwork. The noise level varies from quiet to moderate, with occasional distractions and interruptions.
