Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and team-focused Senior CAD Designer to join our transportation group. The position is primarily focused on transportation infrastructure projects and has a variety of designer, drafting, and modeling opportunities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Civil Drawings and 3D Modeling: Produce civil drawings and 3-dimensional models in Bentley InRoads/OpenRoads and Autodesk AutoCAD Civil3D.
  • Project File Management: Organizing and maintaining a digital file database for each project using Bentley ProjectWise software.
  • Drafting and Design: Uses knowledge of tools and drafting to complete assigned tasks including 2D and 3D model development, completing design changes, general arrangement drawing production, redlining, plotting, and drafting using CAD platforms.
  • Quality Assurance: Facilitating and ensuring the quality of the drawings and graphic work produced for the team.
  • Team Collaboration: Communicating with other team members during the 3D model and plan production.
  • File Structures and Modifications: Understanding ProjectWise file structures and modifications to files for exchanges with other team members.
  • Roadway Alignments and Profiles: Creation of roadway alignments, profiles, templates, and corridors.
  • CAD Surface and Digital Terrain Modeling: CAD surface and digital terrain modeling.
  • Standards and Procedures: Ensure CAD standards and styles, quality assurance, and quality control procedures are followed during drawing planning and production.
Requirements
  • Civil Infrastructure Experience: Experience with civil infrastructure projects - roadway, utility, and rail projects highly desirable.
  • Bentley Software Proficiency: Proficiency in Bentley InRoads/Open Roads.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and presentation.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills, with a team player approach to design and problem-solving.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work within a team, sharing workloads to meet deadlines.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Office: Skilled in the use of Microsoft Office products.
