Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will conduct focused assessments, report changes to licensed healthcare providers, and participate in the development and modification of patient care plans. You will also implement patient care interventions, assign nursing activities, and monitor tasks delegated to certified medical assistants or unlicensed personnel.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct focused assessments and report changes to licensed healthcare providers
  • Participate in the development and modification of patient care plans
  • Implement patient care interventions, including administering medications and updating electronic medical records
  • Assign nursing activities and monitor tasks delegated to certified medical assistants or unlicensed personnel
  • Provide health care information to patients and review education materials
  • Provide input for policies and procedures
Qualifications:
  • Current LPN Minnesota state license, current Medical Assistant certification or registration required
  • Experience in an ambulatory healthcare setting preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently, accurately, and maintain positive working relationships
  • BLS certification required within two months of employment
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and adhere to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital policies, vision, mission, and values
