As a Dental Assistant - Patient Care Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical teams in delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Assist dentists and hygienists in chair-side procedures, including preparation and setup of instruments, materials, and equipment.
- Perform sterilization of instruments and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide front desk support, including scheduling, patient recall, and reception duties.
- Process encounters, billing, and bookkeeping procedures.
- Identify patient-related medical and social concerns and report them to the Dental Assistant Supervisor or Dental Operations Director.
- High school diploma or equivalent education.
- EDDA Certificate or 3 years of EDDA experience required in lieu of certificate.
- 1 year of working as a chair-side Dental Assistant required.
- X-ray certification and CPR certification required.
- Valid Colorado driver's license and proof of insurance.
The work environment is fast-paced and requires long periods of standing, moving, and sitting. Frequent bending and fine motor skills are necessary. Hearing within normal range for telephone use is required. Ability to support/lift 50 pounds is necessary.
