UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Internal Medicine Physician to join our dynamic team at a premier internal medicine clinic.

As a vital member of our healthcare delivery team, you will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. Our collaborative approach positions the primary care provider at the heart of patient care. You will work alongside a multidisciplinary team that includes specialists, nutritionists, social workers, behavioral health experts, and pharmacists. Your support team will consist of nurses, medical assistants, and additional staff, all dedicated to empowering you to practice at your highest level.

Position Highlights:

  • Utilization of advanced technology for charting
  • On-site Practice Manager
  • Dedicated Medical Assistant for each clinician
  • Potential for a 4-day work week
  • 32 Patient Contact Hours and 4 Administrative Hours weekly
  • Comprehensive primary care procedures
  • Weekday Call: Average once a month starting at 5 PM
  • Weekend Call: Average 1 to 2 times per year

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver full-scope primary care services
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients for acute and chronic conditions
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and families
  • Maintain thorough documentation using our electronic medical records system
  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans
  • Prescribe medications and therapies
  • Order and interpret lab and imaging tests
  • Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services
  • Ensure timely completion of documentation
  • Uphold quality care standards
  • Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine
  • Board certified in Internal Medicine or board eligible
  • Active medical license in Colorado or ability to obtain
  • Active DEA registration or ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a population health model

Compensation: Salary range for Colorado residents is competitive and based on various factors including education and experience. In addition to salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package.
