As a vital member of our healthcare delivery team, the Internal Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive care to patients of all ages. We welcome Family Medicine physicians who are committed to delivering exceptional healthcare and fostering meaningful relationships with their patients. Our approach positions the primary care provider's office as the central hub for patient care. Our collaborative team includes specialists, nutritionists, social workers, behavioral health professionals, and pharmacist clinicians, alongside a dedicated support staff of nurses and medical assistants, ensuring you can practice at your highest level.

Key Position Highlights:

  • Utilization of advanced AI and Dragon charting technology
  • On-site Practice Manager for operational support
  • Each physician is paired with a dedicated Medical Assistant
  • Potential for a 4-day work week
  • 32 hours of patient contact with 4 hours allocated for administrative duties
  • Average patient panel of 2000 per physician
  • Comprehensive primary care procedures offered
  • Weekday call averages once a month, starting at 5 PM
  • Weekend call averages 1 to 2 times per year

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver full-spectrum primary care services to patients.
  • Conduct examinations, diagnose, and treat both acute and chronic conditions.
  • Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding health conditions.
  • Maintain thorough and timely documentation using our electronic medical record (EMR) system.
  • Develop diagnostic and treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and procedures as necessary.
  • Order and interpret lab and imaging tests to guide immediate treatment plans and follow-up care.
  • Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services to ensure comprehensive patient management.
  • Ensure timely completion of all documentation and paperwork.
  • Uphold quality of care standards as established by the practice.
  • Supervise Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • M.D. or D.O. degree.
  • Completion of an accredited residency in Internal Medicine.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or eligibility for board certification.
  • Active medical license in Maryland or ability to obtain prior to employment.
  • Active DEA registration or ability to obtain prior to employment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in patient care within a population health model.
