Position Summary:

The Class A Tanker Transport Operator is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of cement, mortar, and various materials essential to our production processes. This role involves local deliveries, ensuring drivers return home each night. A valid CDL A license and a clean driving record are mandatory.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely transport cement, mortar, and other materials to designated locations.
  • Conduct bulk pickups of raw materials using a pneumatic tanker.
  • Collaborate with Dispatch and Production teams to maintain optimal material levels.
  • Oversee the loading of the truck to ensure proper weight distribution and order.
  • Follow detailed loading instructions and maintain accurate delivery records.
  • Utilize an Android tablet for electronic logging and communication.
  • Foster positive relationships with customers and internal teams.
  • Perform thorough pre-trip inspections and report any vehicle issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  • Document routine maintenance and address any equipment concerns promptly.
  • Unload cargo safely and efficiently at job sites.
  • Continuously monitor product quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Other related duties may be assigned as necessary.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with pneumatic trailers is advantageous.
  • Must hold a valid CDL Class A license.
  • At least two years of recent driving experience preferred.
  • Clean driving record.
  • Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills.
  • Knowledge of product quality assurance.
  • Safety-conscious and reliable with a good attendance record.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Must pass a current DOT physical examination.
  • Frequent climbing, standing, walking, kneeling, and bending required.
