Position Summary
The Project Manager plays a crucial role in the planning, coordination, execution, and successful completion of assigned projects, ensuring that objectives are achieved within specified timeframes and budget constraints.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyze project proposals to determine requirements, tools, staffing, and materials needed.
2. Prepare Job Cost Breakdown and Schedule of Values for the accounting department.
3. Attend Pre-Construction Meetings and communicate any contract or job modifications to the relevant parties.
4. Collaborate with the Contract Administrator, Project Coordinator, and Safety Director to ensure all project contracts, permits, insurances, and safety requirements are established before work commencement.
5. Direct and coordinate project personnel activities to maintain schedule adherence and budget compliance.
6. Conduct regular site meetings to keep team members informed about project status and performance expectations.
7. Manage RFIs and process change orders efficiently.
8. Ensure project closeout by verifying complete invoicing, submission of all necessary paperwork, and removal of company tools and supplies from the site.
9. Oversee hiring, coaching, evaluation, and potential termination of job personnel.
10. Validate payroll hours and job codes, submitting data promptly to the payroll administrator.
11. Ensure compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal laws, and uphold company policies and procedures.
Work Environment
This role operates in both a professional office setting and in the field, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and phones. Field visits may expose the employee to varying weather conditions and noise.
Physical Requirements
The physical demands of this position include regular communication, standing, walking, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for individuals with disabilities.
Position Type
This is a full-time, salary-exempt role, typically requiring Monday through Friday availability from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with potential additional hours based on project needs.
Travel Requirements
Daily travel between the office and job sites is expected.
Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of field experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive project management experience.
- Effective communication skills with diverse employees and customers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for creating schedules and project documents.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
- Valid Florida driver's license required.
