Position Overview:
Wilson Health is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Diagnostic Secretary to support our Cardiopulmonary Services department. This role is essential in managing the non-clinical operations within our healthcare facility.

Employment Type: Full Time

Work Schedule: 40 hours per week, 80 hours bi-weekly

Shift Details: Day shift (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM)

Reporting Structure: This position reports to the Cardiac Services Director and Team Lead.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage telephone communications, retrieve documents, handle physician billing, and schedule diagnostic tests.
  • Utilize computer and word processing skills effectively.
  • Act as a liaison between physicians and patient caregivers for the EKG Management system and Electronic Medical Record system, ensuring accurate processing of diagnostic reports.
  • Assist with bi-weekly payroll processes.
  • Support department staff scheduling and manage staffing patterns, including organizing meetings as directed by management.
  • Contribute to productivity management through statistical analysis and trend monitoring.
  • Oversee supply management, including ordering, receiving, stocking, and inventory control for the Cardiopulmonary Services department.
  • Handle daily patient charge entries.
  • Assist in preparing patients for diagnostic tests.
  • Perform EKGs as required.
  • Maintain, copy, and organize all departmental and patient documentation.
  • Provide information and respond to inquiries from managers, staff, patients, families, external agencies, and the public, catering to various age groups.
Qualifications:
  • Completion of a one-year certificate program from a college or technical school, or 3-6 months of relevant experience in a healthcare setting.
  • BLS certification is preferred.
  • Typing proficiency of 60 words per minute.
  • Ability to navigate various computer software systems.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is essential.
