Experience and Knowledge Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in various kitchen roles, including food preparation, line cook, fry cook, and expediter.
  • A minimum of 6 months in a similar managerial role.
  • Strong communication skills with management, kitchen staff, and guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure consistent preparation and presentation of food according to established recipes and standards.
  • Participate in hiring, evaluating, and disciplining kitchen staff as necessary.
  • Provide orientation on company policies and oversee training for new kitchen team members.
  • Assist in maintaining high guest service standards and operational efficiency.
  • Complete necessary paperwork, including reports and schedules, in a timely manner.
  • Maintain cleanliness and operational condition of kitchen equipment through regular inspections.
  • Order products according to specifications and ensure proper delivery and storage.
  • Manage food costs and usage through adherence to storage and waste control procedures.
  • Conduct timely performance appraisals for kitchen staff.
  • Schedule labor based on anticipated business needs while meeting labor cost objectives.
  • Administer fair and consistent corrective actions for policy violations.
  • Train kitchen staff on safe equipment operation and sanitation practices.
  • Maintain cleaning schedules for all kitchen areas and equipment.
  • Monitor food holding and refrigeration temperatures.
  • Ensure completion of safety training for all kitchen personnel.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Attend mandatory meetings as required.
  • Perform additional tasks as directed.
  • Maintain professional appearance and adhere to dress code standards.
  • Complete assigned training through the company training portal.
  • Demonstrate reliability in work schedule.
  • Uphold ethical business practices and integrity in all interactions.
  • Perform duties safely and effectively.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Food Handler Certificate is required.
  • Valid State Alcohol Server Certificate is required (if applicable).
  • Valid Driver's License with a satisfactory driving record.
  • Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Compliance with dress standards is mandatory.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is required.
