About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Global IT Procurement team as a Software Category Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the sourcing of software and software as a service (SaaS) to meet the needs of our business units and clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the central strategic interface to internal customers and suppliers for related procurement activities
  • Collaborate with the Global Category Manager to create and implement a comprehensive regional sourcing strategy for software and SaaS spend
  • Manage existing suppliers and potential new partners for software and SaaS procurement
  • Execute strategic procurement processes, including market analysis, demand management, and forecasting
  • Prepare contracts in collaboration with the legal department and other specialist departments
  • Conduct spend analysis to define quantitative and qualitative optimization goals in the assigned subcategories and product groups
  • Support the Global Category Manager in the development of sourcing and supplier strategies
  • Deliver high-quality procurement results and reporting as part of the Americas SSO
  • Ensure business compliance with the Company Procurement Policy and Guidelines
Requirements
  • 2-3+ years of relevant procurement experience with software and SaaS procurement or proven track record in related roles
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or Information Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Experience in leading strategic sourcing projects in an international environment and ability to orchestrate cross-functional negotiation teams
  • Excellent interpersonal, facilitation, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills and experience
  • Proficient contract terminology and expertise in developing alternative clauses where necessary in cooperation with the in-house Legal Departments
  • Commercial mindset
  • Target-oriented, highly motivated, and willingness to perform
  • Experience in national and international negotiations
  • Strong team player, also with the ability to work independently
  • Strong communication skills and confident manner, absolute integrity
  • Strong customer and service orientation, interpersonal and social skills, communicates proactively
