Delaware North Sportservice is seeking part-time Culinary Specialists to enhance our kitchen operations at Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle, Washington. In this role, you will take the lead in a culinary environment that fosters your skills and encourages your innovative ideas. Responsibilities include menu review, food preparation, equipment operation, and adherence to health and sanitation standards.
Compensation
Pay can reach up to $33/hr when including tips. We value your contributions and offer a competitive pay structure.

Key Responsibilities- Analyze menus and guest orders to determine food preparation needs, ensuring accurate measurement and portioning of all food items.
- Adhere to portion sizes, quality standards, and departmental policies.
- Utilize various kitchen equipment to prepare food items, including knives, slicers, grills, and ovens.
- Maintain proper food temperatures and ensure correct food storage.
- Guarantee the freshness and quality of all menu items, packaging products according to specifications.
- Perform opening, closing, and side work duties as per guidelines.
- Keep workstations, coolers, and equipment clean, organized, and adequately stocked.
- Follow all health codes and sanitation regulations.
- Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Previous experience in food service is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand prep sheets and recipes.
- Basic math skills for recipe measurements and proportions.
- Manual dexterity to chop, mix, and blend various foods and liquids.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy pans, weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Capability to operate kitchen equipment safely.
- Standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
- Frequent reaching, twisting, bending, and squatting.
- Occasional pushing and pulling of equipment.
- Work in a kitchen environment with moderate to high noise levels.
- Exposure to hot and humid conditions.
This position is event-based.
