Physical Therapist Assistant

As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will play a vital role in the rehabilitation process of our patients. Under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, you will administer physical therapy modalities and treatments to help patients recover from injuries, diseases, or physical disabilities.
Responsibilities
Administer physical therapy modalities and treatments as directed by the staff physical therapist
Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning
Participate in operational aspects of the department, including performance improvement activities and CQI
Maintain department cleanliness and safety
Interact professionally with patients, families, and staff
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited physical therapy assistant school
Current physical therapy assistant license in the State of Texas
Current BLS certification
Organizational skills and ability to communicate effectively
Preferred Qualifications
Hospital experience
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians
Working Conditions
This is a PRN position, which means you will be required to work at least 2 weekends a month. As a flex therapist, you may be flexed to other therapy departments in need. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, and you must be able to adapt to changing situations.
