About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join our team at CommonSpirit Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Ensure Patient Safety and Comfort: Monitor patients' conditions before and after scans to ensure their safety and comfort.
  2. Explain Testing Procedures: Clearly explain testing procedures to patients, ensuring they understand their involvement in the exam.
  3. Position and Prepare Patients: Position and instruct patients on preparation for MRI tests, taking into account their specific needs and requirements.
  4. Operate MRI Equipment: Operate MRI equipment, ensuring it is operational, safe, and functioning according to diagnostic standards.
  5. Problem-Solve Equipment Issues: Troubleshoot equipment failures and imaging quality issues, contacting service representatives and CES as needed.
  6. Maintain Quality and Inventory: Complete quality checks, ensure equipment logs are maintained, and manage clinical supply inventory.
  7. Participate in Patient Exams: Actively participate in patient exams, performing routine, urgent, and emergent patient requests.
  8. Assist with Patient Care: Assist patients with basic clinical care and provide support as needed.
  9. Review Physician Orders: Review physician orders to verify the types of diagnostic exams requested and ensure the indication for the procedure is consistent.
  10. Obtain Assistance When Needed: Obtain assistance with procedures that are not completed or if there are any patient care issues.
  11. Complete Patient Visits: Complete patient visits by ensuring exams are complete, documentation is processed, and patients are discharged safely.
  12. Process Images: Complete image processing, PACS QA, and documentation of logs, demographic, and diagnostic information.
  13. Meet Qualifications: Meet the required qualifications, including an Associate's Degree, certification from an accredited MRI program, and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
