1. Have a current license as a Radiological Technology from the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT)2. Utilize magnetic resonance imaging scanners to capture specific images ordered by a physician to aid in patient diagnosis and MUST HAVE Fonar upright experience.3. MRI techs must be able to closely follow a physician's instructions on referral forms4. Prepare and operate MRI equipment which includes selecting software options and imaging parameters5. Explain MRI procedures to patients6. Position patients correctly and effectively record the requested diagnostic images.7. Techs need to have ability to stay on their feet throughout the workday while prepping patients and to manipulate the table straps. Techs need to assist patients on and off the MRI table.8. Monitor the patient's condition before and after the scan to ensure patient safety and comfort9. Techs need to able to lift MRI coils that could range between 10-40 lbs.10. Techs need to posses written and verbal communication, sensitivity to physical and psychological needs of patients, attention to detail11. Responsible in enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operator and visitors12. Maintain patient log, equipment service manual, delivery schedule and all related statistics13. Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
