Job Summary

Ansible Government Solutions, LLC is seeking a highly skilled Registered Pharmacist to support a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accurate and timely preparation of prescriptions and packages.

Responsibilities
  • Pharmaceutical Verification: Verify prescription orders of legend, OTC, Medical Surgical (Med/Surg), and Controlled Substances to patients requiring care.
  • Assessment and Cross-Matching: Assess drug orders and cross-match with medication presented at checking stations.
  • Dispensing and Quality Assurance: Pre-verify medications loaded into highly specialized mechanical apparatus to dispense medications into prescription bottles, complete verification and fill of controlled substance orders, and perform Quality Assurance functions.
  • Supervision and Documentation: Supervise Pharmacy Technicians, follow CMOP policies regarding documentation and reports to meet VA and TJC policy, and note any unusual doses, wrong drug, wrong strength, or drug mix up.
  • Compounding and Dispensing: Compound and dispense medications within corporate and regulatory guidelines for controlled substances.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: Licensed in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or the District of Columbia.
  • Education: Graduate of an American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) accredited school or university.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrate effective interpersonal communication skills with co-workers and staff.
  • Technical Skills: Maintain basic typing skills, PC computer skills, and working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Language Proficiency: Read, understand, speak, and write English fluently under the authority of U.S.C. 7402(d) and 7407(d).
  • Certification: Able to pass VetPro certification, which is a credentialing system that is required of all VHA licensed, registered, and certified health care providers.
Working Conditions

Able to sit/stand for long periods of time (8-10 hours), and lift totes weighing up to 30 pounds repetitively. All candidates must be able to sit, stand, walk, lift, squat, bend, twist, and reach above shoulders during the work shift, lift up to 50 lbs from floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs, carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance, and push/pull with 30 lbs of force.
