Job Summary: Midland University is seeking a highly motivated and organized Graduate Assistant to join our Cheer Program team. As a Graduate Assistant, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the administration and leadership of the program, while also pursuing your Master's degree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program Administration: Assist the head coach with the day-to-day operations of the cheer program, including recruiting, coaching, and developing cheer athletes.
- Coaching and Instruction: Assist in coaching game day and performance cheer squads, as well as directing strength and conditioning activities.
- Recruitment and Retention: Recruit and retain students for the cheer program, ensuring a strong and diverse team.
- Scheduling and Logistics: Coordinate performance, game, and practice schedules, ensuring seamless execution.
- Compliance and Governance: Ensure team compliance with all league, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree program acceptance at Midland University for the 2020 Fall Semester.
- Skills: Organizational skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills, basic computer skills, and working understanding of Microsoft Word and Excel.
