About the Role

As an Accounting Specialist, you will perform a range of tasks primarily supporting the Accounting & HR departments. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Performing accounting tasks, including customer invoice, payment, and sales receipt entry for a large volume of clients
  • Ensuring recurring customer payments process as scheduled
  • Employee collections for past due accounts
  • Bill and bill payment entry
  • Pay invoices timely and accurately
  • Recording of journal entries
  • Account reconciliation
  • Credit card transaction entry and receipt review
  • Update systems to reflect client payment status

You will also be responsible for reconciling data between various software systems, payroll processing and reporting for 40+, preparing daily activity reports for management, and performing general office management tasks.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to act with integrity and professional discretion and to maintain confidentiality
  • Proficient in QuickBooks Online, ADP Run or ADP Workforce and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience in Salesforce and BillerGenie a huge Plus
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to problem solve when issues arise
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently or in a team setting
  • Aptitude for and experience in delivering excellent customer service
  • Strong time management, organizational, and electronic filing skills
  • Knowledge of basic clerical and administrative practices
