About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Branch Network Management Trainee to lead and manage a diverse team of direct and indirect reports. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a culture that fosters engagement and generates commitment and accountability to business outcomes.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education. They will also have 2+ years of leadership experience and be able to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success.

The Branch Manager will be responsible for leading a highly defined customer engagement process, coaching to specific behaviors that lead to an enhanced customer experience and drive growth in the business. They will also be responsible for executing policies and procedures in alignment with applicable regulations, as well as audit and escalation procedures, and managing the allocation of people and financial resources for the branch.

The successful candidate will be able to analyze performance, understand strengths and opportunities, and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives. They will also be able to exercise independent judgement and critical thinking skills to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment.

This is an interim non-exempt position until the trainee has received certification of program completion and been placed into a branch. Successful completion of the Branch Manager Readiness program is a pre-requisite to transition into a non-exempt Associate Branch Manager (ABM) or exempt Branch Manager (BM) role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coach, develop and build a high performing team to execute on business strategies, achieve results, and drive growth of the business
  • Resolve low to moderately complex issues regarding the customer and employee experience, risk, and growth of the team and the business to meet Branch Network business objectives
  • Identify opportunities for making banking easier for customers through education and demonstration of available digital options to support adoption and customer convenience
  • Lead the branch while engaging stakeholders, peers, and internal partners in collaborating and building strong partnerships to deliver a customer-centric experience
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent

Requirements:

  • 4+ years of banking, financial services, or Branch Network experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of leadership experience
  • Ability to build and inspire a team where adaptability, collaboration, and accountability to performance are critical to success
  • Ability to analyze performance, understand strengths and opportunities, and execute a plan that empowers employees to achieve business objectives
  • Exercise independent judgement and critical thinking skills to manage time, prioritize, and delegate tasks in a complex, fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Management experience including hiring, coaching, and developing direct reports
  • Ability to lead a team to influence, educate, and connect customers to technology and share the value of digital banking
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking industry laws and regulations, compliance controls, risk management and loss prevention
