RN Transplant-Infusion Specialist

Ochsner Health System is seeking a highly skilled RN Transplant-Infusion Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our transplant and infusion services team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and leading our nursing team in delivering high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver patient care and make informed decisions to improve patient outcomes.
- Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies to educate patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Delegate and manage nursing team resources to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Use data and information to evaluate and promote change to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
- Embody concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale, and contribute to the improvement of the nursing profession.
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to demonstrate good judgment and be self-directed.
- Good interpersonal skills.
This role requires working in a patient care area, interacting with patients, and potentially being exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. The incumbent must be able to adapt to the specific patient population and maintain a safe and respectful environment.
