We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated RN Transplant-Infusion Specialist to join our team at Ochsner Health. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our transplant and infusion programs.
Responsibilities- Effectively use the nursing process to deliver high-quality patient care, assessing learning needs and implementing teaching strategies to meet the diverse needs of patients, families, and other groups or disciplines.
- Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources (human and fiscal) properly, serving as a leader and partner on the interdisciplinary team.
- Use data, information, and knowledge to evaluate and promote change, achieving optimal outcomes and embracing concepts and behaviors that enhance customer satisfaction and employee morale and improvement in the profession of nursing.
- Adapt behavior to the specific patient population, respecting privacy, introducing yourself to patients, explaining services or procedures, requesting permissions, and communicating in a style that meets their needs.
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Preferred: Certification in clinical specialty area.
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process.
- Good organizational and time management skills, with the ability to demonstrate good judgment and be self-directed.
- Good interpersonal skills.
The incumbent works in a patient care area, interacts with patients, and may be exposed to blood, body fluids, and tissue. There may be an occupational risk for exposure to communicable diseases and hazardous medications or waste.
