Your Role:

The Customer Service Specialist is responsible for welcoming customers and maintaining communication regarding the status of their trucks. This role involves generating service and repair orders by identifying service requests and performance issues; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; inspecting vehicles, documenting repair orders, and consistently maintaining customer relationships and records. Additional responsibilities include:

Customer Interaction Responsibilities:

  • Welcoming customers upon arrival in the service area.
  • Identifying vehicle issues by attentively listening to customer descriptions of symptoms.
  • Clarifying problem descriptions for accurate diagnosis.
  • Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles.
  • Proactively checking for recalls.
  • Submitting documentation for warranty repair orders.
  • Retrieving mileage and VIN numbers from vehicles.
  • Reviewing vehicle maintenance histories.
  • Maintaining customer rapport by providing clear explanations of estimates and daily updates.
  • Contacting customers when jobs are completed and vehicles are ready for pickup.
  • Establishing strong customer relations through detailed estimates and timelines.

Administrative Duties:

  • Verifying warranty and service contract coverage by reviewing records and documentation.
  • Explaining provisions and exclusions to customers.
  • Preparing repair orders (RO) by detailing symptoms, problems, and necessary repairs.
  • Obtaining necessary approval signatures.
  • Entering RO into the service database system and forwarding to the Estimator and Dispatcher.
  • Monitoring repair work to ensure timely completion.
  • Printing warranty documentation.
  • Reviewing completed jobs for accuracy.
  • Collecting payments for services rendered.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in working collaboratively with both internal and external customers.

Compensation:

Hourly rate ranging from $20 to $30, based on skills and experience.
