Job Overview:

The Electric Substations Resource Manager at TalentBurst is responsible for overseeing, organizing, and delivering all Electric Distribution operations to both internal and external field teams across the region.

This role requires close collaboration with Supervisors within the Internal Electric Substations Team.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Efficiently manage resource allocations to align with the operational plan, taking into account workforce availability, performance metrics, geographic distribution, and scheduling optimization.
  • Coordinate and schedule primarily short-term Opex Substations maintenance tasks and inspections for internal teams, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Monitor and manage work backlog to guarantee timely task completion.
  • Balance and coordinate internal resources to optimize the work plan, considering seasonal variations and the nature of indoor versus outdoor substations.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks due to resource limitations, field conditions, or equipment issues, and propose suitable solutions.
  • Support divisional reliability initiatives by ensuring all activities are properly scheduled and tracked.
  • Facilitate resource meetings with stakeholders to ensure effective scheduling and compliance.
  • Serve as the primary liaison, providing guidance and support to relevant parties to keep everyone informed about changes in substation schedules and resource allocations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to effectively communicate and support the implementation of company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
  • An Associate's degree from a technical institution is preferred.
  • A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience, ideally within the utility sector (5+ years for senior roles).
  • Knowledge and experience in scheduling, operations, project management, and program management.
  • Familiarity with company policies and practices and their effective application is advantageous.
  • Strong planning skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
  • Demonstrated accountability for achieving performance excellence.
  • Proficient in computer systems such as utility work management and other data systems, as well as MS Office applications.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary with a valid driver's license.
