Position Overview

The Department of Pediatrics at a prominent university is in search of a qualified candidate to occupy a full-time role at a non-tenure accruing level of Clinical Associate / Full Professor as the Chief of Pediatric Neurodevelopment. This role will report directly to the Chair of the Department of Pediatrics.

Key Responsibilities

The selected individual will undertake a pivotal leadership position, overseeing all clinical, educational, and operational functions within the division, which includes fiscal responsibilities, grant management, and budget oversight. The Chief will also maintain a clinical practice in Developmental/Behavioral Pediatrics and/or Neurodevelopmental Pediatrics, contributing to the education of residents and medical students while providing mentorship to early-career faculty.

As an academic leader, the Chief will guide the division in effective resident training, learner evaluation, and professional development, while also mentoring pediatric residents interested in neurodevelopmental pediatrics. The division chief is expected to exemplify innovative care through a commitment to technical expertise and foster national collaborations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • MD/DO degree with eligibility for a Florida Medical License in Pediatrics.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Board eligible or certified in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics or Neurodevelopmental Disabilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • Proven leadership skills and ability to foster collaborative team environments.
  • Strong mentoring capabilities.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in multidisciplinary clinical research.
