Salary

The estimated salary for this position ranges from $104,550 to $141,450 per year for Mid-Level engineers and $126,650 to $171,350 per year for Senior engineers, depending on experience and qualifications.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Microelectronics Test Engineer to join our Solid-State Electronics Development organization (SSED). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for planning and executing integrated circuit (IC) and microelectronics test activities, developing test processes, and growing test capabilities.

  • Maintain detailed requirements and specifications for electronic products
  • Develop designs of limited scope and conduct testing and analysis to support design
  • Gather data for technical performance measures and perform basic analysis
  • Provide engineering support throughout the product lifecycle

This role requires strong knowledge of IC development flow and tools, as well as commercial semiconductor fabrication process technologies. You will work closely with our cross-functional teams to develop and implement automated test strategies and characterization techniques.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 3+ years of experience in testing integrated circuits
  • 3+ years of experience using high-performance microelectronics test equipment
  • 1+ years of experience in printed circuit board fabrication, test, and validation

Prior experience with Python, FPGA firmware development, and characterization of microelectronics for extreme environments is highly desirable.
