Job Summary

The Automotive Service Advisor at Klick Lewis will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences in the automotive industry. This individual will play a vital role in ensuring that our clients have a positive experience while having their vehicles serviced at our dealership. The ideal candidate for this Full-Time hourly position will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, have a background in sales, an in-depth knowledge of automotive maintenance and repairs, and the ability to work independently as an individual contributor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Interaction: Greet customers and assist them with scheduling appointments for vehicle maintenance or repairs.
  • Service Consultation: Consult with customers to understand their vehicle's issues and provide accurate estimates for necessary services.
  • Service Presentation: Present and explain recommended services and costs to customers in a clear and professional manner.
  • Communication: Maintain open communication with technicians and customers to provide updates on the status of vehicle repairs.
  • Service Coordination: Utilize computerized systems to accurately track and document all aspects of customer interactions and vehicle services.
  • Parts Management: Coordinate with the parts department to ensure necessary parts are ordered and available for scheduled services.
  • Follow-up: Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and address any concerns or questions.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay up-to-date with the latest automotive industry developments and technology to provide knowledgeable and efficient service to customers.
  • Safety and Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Team Support: Provide support to the service team as needed in order to ensure a smooth operation of the service department.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in automotive technology or related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Prior experience in customer service/sales, preferably in the automotive industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong computer skills, and ability to navigate computerized systems.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of automotive maintenance and repair processes.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail and accuracy in paperwork and records.
  • Certifications: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Background Check: Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
