Key Responsibilities
Your Role Will Involve:
- Delivering nutritional care to patients, including screening, assessment, intervention, medical nutrition therapy, and discharge planning to meet dietary needs and ensure satisfaction.
- Offering culturally and age-appropriate nutrition counseling to patients and their families.
- Collaborating with the Nutrition Department to create tailored nutrition intervention plans.
- Staying informed on the latest nutrition trends, research, and regulations to ensure compliance with standards of practice.
- Assisting in the implementation of quality improvement initiatives and communicating these across departments.
- Educating the community through the development and presentation of nutrition classes, articles, and informational handouts.
- Consulting with contracted accounts and liaising with facility administrators regarding nutrition services provided.
- Issuing orders for dietary needs, supplements, enteral/parenteral nutrition, and lab data in accordance with hospital policies.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field
Registered Dietitian or Dietary Technician Registered (or eligibility to obtain credentials within two years of employment)
A minimum of 3-5 years of supervisory experience in food service is preferred.
