About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Development Specialist to join our Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Public Sector team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will be responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from public sector customers, including those in the Containers space.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute go-to-market plans to position AWS as the cloud provider of choice for public sector customers.
  • Collaborate with AWS Product and Technical teams to create solutions that solve customer problems, including reference architectures, patterns, automation, and release plans.
  • Work with Marketing to develop and align digital marketing campaigns to drive awareness and demand.
  • Own the Public Sector GTM strategy and execution for Containers globally, collaborating with teams in the field including Sales, Partners, Marketing, and other Specialists.

Requirements
  • 7+ years of relevant GTM, Sales, or Consulting experience.
  • 5+ years of technology domain experience in cloud native applications and/or container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, Fargate, Docker, Mesos, and others.
  • Bachelor's Degree Required.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Familiarity with open-source software and working knowledge of software development tools and methodologies.
  • Strong databased storytelling skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives and developers.
  • Recognized industry expertise in primary discipline(s) with proven public speaking prowess.
  • Cloud expertise as demonstrated by one or more cloud certifications.
