Role Summary:

The Distribution Center Associate plays a crucial role in the efficient handling of automotive components. This position requires a proactive individual who can adapt quickly to changing demands, perform physical tasks, and utilize equipment to access high storage areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently receive and stock automotive components.
  • Accurately interpret and process orders based on customer requests or shipping documentation.
  • Move materials from receiving zones to designated storage locations.
  • Organize and categorize materials according to established criteria such as size, type, or product code.
  • Prepare customer orders for distribution, ensuring they are properly assembled and ready for shipping.
  • Label materials with relevant identification and manage container openings.
  • Document quantities of materials received or dispatched.
  • Verify item counts to ensure compliance with company standards.
  • Utilize computer systems for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Package items for shipping via common carriers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
  • Availability for a standard 40-hour workweek, Monday through Friday, with potential overtime.
  • Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.

At the end of each shift, employees should conduct a thorough review of their workspace and properly store unused materials while disposing of any trash. Immediate reporting of any workplace hazards is expected.
