Department: Logistics & Distribution

Role Summary:

The Warehouse Operations Specialist plays a crucial role in the management of automotive components by overseeing the receipt and organization of inventory.

The ideal candidate should possess the ability to act swiftly and efficiently, demonstrating physical agility to bend, lift, and utilize ladders to access higher storage areas.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently receive and organize automotive components.
  • Accurately interpret and process items to be relocated, collected, or dispatched based on customer requests or shipping documentation.
  • Transport goods from receiving zones to assigned storage locations or other designated areas.
  • Sort and categorize items according to established criteria such as dimensions, type, style, color, or product identification.
  • Compile customer orders and position them on pallets, shelves, or transfer them to packing or shipping sections.
  • Label items with identifying details and open packages as necessary.
  • Document quantities of received or dispatched materials.
  • Measure or count items to ensure adherence to company standards.
  • Utilize computer systems for inventory management and record-keeping.
  • Prepare packages for dispatch via common carriers.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • 0 to 3 years of experience in a warehouse setting.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes is preferred.
  • Availability for a standard workweek of Monday through Friday, totaling 40 hours, with potential for overtime.
  • Must successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:

Employees can expect a typical 9-hour workday in a warehouse setting, which involves activities such as walking, bending, and lifting. Physical demands may include the ability to lift heavy items weighing 50 pounds or more. Employees are responsible for maintaining cleanliness in all work areas, including passageways, storage rooms, and personal workspaces. At the end of each shift, employees should ensure that all materials and supplies are properly stored and that any waste is disposed of appropriately. Any workplace hazards should be reported immediately upon identification.
