High-Level Software Developer for Simulators

Are you passionate about advancing the field of autonomous driving technology? Do you have a strong background in software development and a passion for simulation and testing?
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Professional to join our team. In this role, you will advance our platform emulators, simulators, and associated tools and infrastructure to enable Waymo to scale to more vehicles faster.
Your primary responsibilities will include implementing hardware in the loop (HIL) software features for new vehicle platforms, developing test automation frameworks, integrating software models into the HIL simulation loop, and helping triage HIL tests failures.
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in software development, with a strong background in modern C++. You will also have knowledge of Linux on an advanced user level, as well as electrical engineering fundamentals. Experience with HIL simulation, embedded programming, and Linux for real-time applications is preferred.
Our salary range for this position is $158,000–$200,000 USD, based on factors such as work location, experience, relevant training and education, and skill level.
As a Waymo employee, you will be eligible to participate in our discretionary annual bonus program, equity incentive plan, and generous company benefits program, subject to eligibility requirements.
