Position Overview:
Join our dedicated team in the Inpatient Oncology unit, where you will provide essential support to patients undergoing treatment. This role offers an opportunity to gain invaluable experience in both acute and intermediate care settings, particularly in the Stem Cell Transplant Unit (SCTU).

Key Responsibilities:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, you will:
  • Assist patients with personal care to facilitate optimal recovery during their hospital stay.
  • Execute basic nursing tasks as directed by a Registered Nurse, adhering to established policies and procedures to enhance patient health and wellness.
  • Ensure a safe environment and the secure delivery of care.
  • Perform administrative support tasks as needed.
  • Maintain required skills and competencies.
  • Be open to additional responsibilities as assigned.

Compensation:
The compensation for this position is set at $23.82 per hour.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: No prior experience necessary; relevant experience is preferred.
  • Licensure: Must possess Certified Nursing Aide certification (CNA) through the Virginia Board of Nursing. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is also required.

Physical Requirements:
This role involves frequent bending and stooping, as well as lifting and moving patients. Strong communication, auditory, and visual skills are essential. Candidates should be able to lift/push/pull weights exceeding 100 lbs. Exposure to chemicals, blood/body fluids, and infectious diseases may occur.
