Financial Assistance Training Specialist

At Cook Inlet Tribal Council Inc, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Assistance Trainer to join our team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality assurance and training for the Employment and Training Services Department (ETSD) on data assurance and program compliance. Additionally, this role will involve staff training in all areas, with a focus on data assurance and accreditation.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs to ensure ETSD staff have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Conduct file reviews to ensure program compliance and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in updating and reviewing program documents, including intake forms, orientation packets, and workshop schedules.
- Maintain confidentiality according to regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Demonstrate understanding of Compliance home visit procedures, assisting with, and conducting home visits as needed.
- Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Demonstrated ability to compute ratios and interpret graphs.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to coordinate multiple activities.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work as an active participant in a team environment.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong group and team facilitation skills.
- Maintain a positive working relationship with CITC staff.
- Must maintain confidentiality at all times while displaying a professional disposition.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the social, health, education, and training and cultural needs of the Alaska Native and American Indian community.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Alaska Native and American Indian values and belief systems.
Qualifications:
Financial Assistance Trainer I:- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of one year of program training, quality assurance, or case reviewing/compliance.
- Minimum of one year working in a database system.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory state and federal background check.
- Associate's degree in Business Administration/Management or similar field. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of two years of program training, quality assurance, or case reviewing/compliance.
- Minimum of two years working in a database system.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory state and federal background check.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management or similar field. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
- Minimum of two years of program management or program monitoring experience.
- Continued employment is contingent upon receipt of satisfactory state and federal background check.
Native Preference Statement:
Cook Inlet Tribal Council Inc maintains preference in all phases of employment for Alaska Native, American Indian (AN/AI), and Native Hawaiian people, including direct lineal descendants and foster or traditionally adopted children. Also included is the non-Native head of household members for Native families, which provides foster or traditionally adopted Native children.
